Vacationing in North Carolina a couple years ago, I came across this creek. The fall colors played on the scene. I took many pictures. This is such a beautiful spot. I painted this one with the palette knife, with just slight touches of color for the leaves done with a brush.
Canvas 14" x 11" x 1" Oil on canvas, varnished, framed
This is framed with what's called a shadow frame. It has a double frame look. The front of the painting sets level to the widest part of the frame. The inset is level with the back showing the narrow painted edges of the canvas. Nice simple frame making the painting itself stand out.
